Oversized shirt

Repeat after me: “Sun is life, sun is life, sun is life”!!!  I can’t stress enough how much I need sun in my life (who doesn’t?). When the sun is out I’m a happy happy girl! Most of my clothes are made for days with sunshine so given the chance I’ll put them on and run out!

OK, so it might not be summer YET, but for me, any sunny day is a good excuse to start taking out my lighter clothes. I don’t care if it gets cloudy again, this time I refuse to put them back!!!

So, now that my “sunshine” delirium is over, let me just tell you about the over sized shirt. And I mean over sized!! It’s one of my favorite pieces of the summer to come! I find it sexy, stylish and easy to wear. You can wear it unbuttoned with a tank top, deep opened with high-waisted skirts/trousers, buttoned all the way for a smarter look, you can combine it with shorts, jeans, skirts or even as dresses if they are long enough!

For today I chose to wear it deep opened with a high waist deconstructed denim skirt and the all time classic fishnets.

And remember, if you don’t have one, the best over sized shirts can be found in your boyfriend’s /husband’s /brother’s /dad’s closet! So don’t be shy to pay them a visit.

My stylish friends: Part 5

 Hello butterflies!!!

It’s that time of the week again for a brand new post on my blog and as you can see once more this post is dedicated to my stylish friends!
This time I have a real princess for you! My dear friend Nasia who gives “princess look” a whole new definition.

The first thing you notice when you meet Nasia is how pretty and sweet she is! And that sweetness is not pretentious, it comes from within and that’s what makes her so adorable! She is an artistic spirit who channeled her creativity into work by becoming a Graphic Designer.  But her thirst for creation which could not be tamed in combination with her love for fashion made her turn into Fashion Design so she is currently studying (2nd year) to become a fashion designer at SEW PERFECT STUDIO/SEWING LESSONS with Maria Petrou:

She is a mother of 2 little angels (somehow all my friends with kids have killer bodies!!) but she still finds the time to do the things she loves.
As I said before, she is really sweet and girly-looking but she manages to combine successfully her feminine looks with her “rock” side. So for today she chose to wear a pink tutu skirt (also known as tulle or ballerina skirt) made by her, transforming it into a more “edgy” look with a leather jacket, a graphic tee and the all time classic converse shoes.

Tulle skirts have been making their way into mainstream fashion, however not all women can pull off this look. You have to be careful with your combinations otherwise you might end up looking like a high school girl playing dress-up!

You can try anything from adding tights and blazer jackets to beanies and tennis shoes for a “street-style” look.

Nasia, thank you! You are an angel xxxxx

Stylish Friends Part 4: IT'S A BOY!!!

Hello again sunshines!

I am super excited today and I think it is obvious why!! It’s a boyyyy!!! Yes ladies and gentlemen! It’s a “first” for my blog and I’m loving the idea! My model for today is my stylish Brother in Law, Marios, whom I love to the moon and back!! (Theodore *-my other beloved Brother in Law-* I love you tooooooooooo  and hope to feature you in my blog soon).

I think I have neglected our gentlemen (I’m sure I must have some male readers-even out of curiosity to see what us women are up to!!) so I have decided to feature some stylish men and to give them the credit they deserve. Because who said that fashion is just about us girls? It might be “mostly” about women but it’s definitely not an exclusive privilege.

Having said all the above, I would like to state my personal opinion on guys who are “too much” into fashion (If I may use the term “too much” cause everyone has a different definition of fashion).  In general, women want their significant other to have some style and fashion sense. Some might even complain that their guys dress too casually or that they don’t care enough about their appearance. But really, how much is too much??
Let’s just say that you meet a guy whose shoe and clothes collection is bigger than yours, how would you react?

A) Run as fast as you can. That’s just not right at all! I could never be with a man who spends more time in front of the mirror than I do!

B) Well….I guess it’s ok…but still…kind of strange.

C) Yeeyyyy I’m in love!!! Match made in heaven. We are both such fashion lovers!

Hmmmm. I am bouncing in between A and B…. Maybe I’m old school but I like men to look effortlessly cool like Marios!! I do not like it when they look like they have tried too much to achieve a “perfect” look or when they spend hours trying to figure out what to wear to go out. This is something women do and that’s why we need men to balance things out! (I have to tell you that I admire my man’s patience with me! It takes him like 10 minutes to get ready and another hour to wait for me to get ready. Did I mention that I start getting ready an hour before him?? Love you baby).

Anyway I’ve said too much. Time to enjoy our super stylish and effortlessly sexy boy for today!!!

P.S Despite his wild looks he is a super gentle soul and mostly a gentleman!! Because that never goes out of fashion!
