Hello my little birdies!

Do I feel inspired these days or what? With Summer being one step away, how can I not feel inspired and full of outfit ideas? So here is another one!

Khaki is no news. We know it, we loved it, we wore it and we will keep wearing it for ever! Only this year it’s becoming even baggier and rougher! Still pegged and high waisted, slightly thicker and more resilient fabrics, wider fit and…the chunkier the better!

Big pants are here and we love them! And since summer calls for khaki, some of my favorite color combinations are with white, navy blue, yellow and beige!

Another favorite piece of this post is my super duper straw clutch from Mango (“souvenir” from my beloved Paris!)! I love love looooove it! This summer equip your wardrobe with straw bags (AKA Raffia bags)! And I do not mean beach bags only! Fully obsessed! You can carry them everywhere and they match with almost all outfits!

The pyjama look

Hello again honey buns!

Sleepwear worn as daywear? Hmmm…Why not? This trend has been around for quite some time, but in my eyes it looks great worn on the catwalk but recreating the style at home was a little…challenging. But it turns out that these crisp blouses are quite easy to wear. They come in all kinds of colors and textures but my favorite summer version is this light-fabric white blouse with black trim (Which by the way you can find in my newly favorite shop, 2Thirty boutique: https://www.facebook.com/2Thirtyboutique/

If you don’t want to go “total pyjama outfit”, you can wear just the top or just the bottom part which is wide legged and usually culottes style pants.  Or you can go all the way to an all-over co-ord in monochrome or floral.

I combined mine with white straight trousers and heels. I also love it with trainers for a more relaxed style.

Stirrups and trench dress

Hello lollipops!

So, what is the first thing that comes to your mind when you hear “stirrup pants”?(a type of ladies' pant that tapers at the ankle, similar to leggings, except that the material extends to a band, or strap, that is worn under the arch of the foot to hold the pant leg in place(Well at least if you are my age-which by the way is none of your business-you must remember them J ). It surely reminds me of my mom in the 80’s or an athletic gear from the 90’s! Which is not necessarily a bad thing since we’ve seen many “bad closet relics” making comebacks in slightly different versions.

Most people hate them, but I’ve always liked them! I like them with loose sweaters or worn as tights under dresses.

Today I wore it with another favorite piece, the trench dress. Trench dresses are always in fashion and I find them very feminine and elegant. They can be worn in so many ways (alone, on top of shirts, t-shirts, long sleeves, short sleeves, on top of pants, buttoned up, unbuttoned as sleeveless trench coat…I can keep writing!!) that is a piece you should all have in your closet.

So stirrup pants and trench dress for today!
