Beige on beige

Hello sweethearts!

Today’s post is all about nude and beige colored outfits! I looove beige color tones! I have always loved them! Especially in the summer as it goes perfectly with tanned skin (By the way that reminds me that I still look paler than ever!! Note to self: GO THE BEACH ASAP GIRL!!).

When I talk about beige colors, I mean various shades of it like cream, tanned, light brown, sand and anything in between! Anything that reminds us of safari outfits will do!

Mixing different tones of beige gives you an air of elegance! Plus, you become a canvas for accessorizing! You can pretty much accessorize with any color. However, you can keep your accessories in the same tones (after all raffia and wooden accessories are the latest trend)! You can also add a splash of black or khaki if you fell like you are being too “monochrome”.

Life in color

Life is a beautiful journey so we should treat it accordingly. Colors were always a source of happiness, playfulness and hope! Sure…there are times when we feel like wearing just black or white and that’s fine too. But then again there are those times when we want to go vibrant and colorful!

Did you know that each color evokes a different emotion? For instance orange signifies vitality and health. Yellow activates anxiety (ooops….so much for my new yellow dresses) and green sparks calmness and peace.

In any case, a colorful outfit will always lift your spirit and will make you feel happier.

That’s the effect this dress had on me when I saw it so I decided to buy it! I have to say that it accomplished its mission in lifting my spirits perfectly.

The smock-sweater style proved to be very comfortable around the city. And of course as I mentioned again, I completed the look with a string bag (new obsession).

And once more, I accessorized with my new handmade acrylic earrings in geometrical shapes (also currently obsessing).

Polka dots and net bags

Bonjour mes beautés!

According to Marc Jacobs there is never a wrong time for a polka dot! And I couldn’t agree more!

This pattern had a leading role in many of my previous outfits but this years polka dots are at their best! They are so 50’s and elegant and they are equally beautiful on accessories, shoes, clothes, even shades!

And while they are here in all sizes and colors, I have to say that the all time classic black and white remains my favorite!

As a style that has been celebrated again and again throughout the years, the polka dots are a great addition to our wardrobes and personally I am super excited to find new ways to wear it every time!

So my suggestion is to stash your stripes and stock up on polka dots! Or better yet, wear them together (wisely)!

The other statement piece on this post is the net bag! Currently trending, this super simple net bag is the new hot piece and I am loving the idea. Effortless and affordable alternative to our regular purse!
