Contrast stitching

Hey there!

Contrast stitching is making its way to this season’s essentials! The trend that started in the Summer of 2018 seems to be a key trend for Fall as well. It’s a discreet yet noticeable detail that makes the difference between a plain piece and a pop piece!

It has the ability to elevate the classic pieces by adding a more interesting element.

It’s funny how a tiny thread can reinvent something, huh??

The stitch detail is found on tops, coats, skirts, dresses, purses, even shoes! The all time classic combination of black and white is a safe option. But the choices are endless.

For today I chose a white skirt with contrast stitching in black, combined with a black shirt (one of the essential wardrobe pieces you can’t go wrong with).

Plunge swimsuits

Hey sweeties!

I bet most of you are on vacation right now. Or at least I hope so!

As you must have noticed, lately I have been loving the one-piece swimsuits more than ever. Especially the ones with dramatic plunging. Quite some time ago I had heard about a site with affordable prices and styles on swimwear but I was worried about the quality. However a friend had suggested I give it a try since she had ordered before and she was happy with the products. And she was right! 9 out of 10 were exactly as seen on the photos and the quality surprised me! I will surely be ordering more next year!

P.s It takes a bit long to arrive but if you choose the right ones for you is worth it!

Summer stories

Aloha everyone!

I just got back from my vacation (part of it-still looking forward to some things) and I have to admit that I have recharged my batteries and I feel ready to take on new challenges! As a traditional Greek-Cypriot girl with a Mediterranean temperament, for me summer equals Greek Islands. Which means: Beach, blue domes, fish by the sea, sunsets, island hopping, flip flops, salty hair, beach bars, night swims, hospitable people, ferry boats, more beach, more food….. I could go on forever…. This is my summer! And this is how my summer stories are written in my head and in my heart!

So you understand that for a Mediterranean girl, summer is food for the soul! So we need to be well prepared and well equipped when the time comes to take that trip! Since we spend 90% of the day in a swimsuit, we want to make sure we pick the right one (or 10!). And by “right” I mean the one that will make US feel good with our self. That’s the motto of this blog. If it makes you feel good, wear it!

Looking good is important for our confidence, but feeling good is even more important for our peace of mind. We go to the beach to enjoy ourselves, the beach and the company of others. So we shouldn’t let discomfort ruin our experience!

Today I chose to wear this one-piece swimsuit in yellow floral tones! And of course I followed my own advice! I had the time of my life!!!
