Denim peg pants

Well well well….

Hello there!!! It’s been soooo long since my last post! 8 months long to be precise!

So this is my first postpartum post and it feels like my first post ever!! I almost forgot the password to my blog!
It’s been an intense 8 months. Tiring and scary the first 2 but followed by 4 months of love love love!!!!
And while my heart was filled with much love, my body was going through a rough patch! Going through a pregnancy changes your body in ways you never thought before. The most common change is the weight you put on. I had put on 20kg! Wow! Being 48-49 kg most of my adult life, seeing the scale going up to 70kg was a shock! And apparently my body was shocked equally because the sudden weight gain left me with pelvic floor problems.
However, I am still in the process of healing! But I have to admit I have missed posting on the blog a lot!

Today's blog is dedicated to the much loved peg trousers. They have been around for a few years and this season they are returning even baggier and mostly in denim!

Ready to pop

Hello sweeties!

Today I will not share any fashion tips with you. I will just share some moments and some thoughts…
Pregnancy is a very special period in a woman’s life but a weird one as well!
So many changes are going on in your body that before you know it…..it feels like you have lost control over it!
I have always been an active person so the first months of my pregnancy I was trying to not give up on exercise. The truth is that at some point you do not have the same energy or strength to carry on with your usual program. The changes that are going on are not easy to handle! Everything becomes rounder and bigger! And although you are trying to keep up with your routine, it’s as if your body does not follow anymore!
At first I was worried and I was under the impression that I could control it if I just try harder! But believe me you can’t! You can try to eat healthily and maintain a healthy exercise routine but no matter how hard you try, you will not be able to stop the changes that are bound to happen! So you simply just have to accept it and go with the flow.
So for some months I am loving the new curvier “me” because I know that this body will deliver a precious gift. But I also cannot deny the fact that I kind of miss the old me when I look at my pre-pregnancy photos. I think it is only natural and I’m sure I’m not the only pregnant woman who felt that!
So for the moment I am waiting for the little one to pop out and I am capturing the moments…..

1st pregnancy post

Hello everyone and Happy (belated) New Year!

This is my first official pregnancy post and it feels weird!! (Did you notice the gradual weight gain in my previous posts??) As I am now entering the 7th month of my pregnancy, it is starting to set in that it truly is happening! There is no hiding the belly any more. Too big to hide haha!!
I’ve always loved babies but I was never “crazy” about them. I knew that at some point of my life I would love to have kids, but somehow I was always postponing it! One more year…one more trip…one more careless summer…one more…one more….! The list of “one more” never ends. And then comes a time when you realize it’s time to take that step. One more step…
I was one of the lucky women who didn’t have to try hard for it. Actually it happened so fast after the decision, that I was surprised and kind of scared!! It was happening…Now what???
Initial feelings in order: Scared, panicked, soooo happy, sooo scared, so happy, sooo terrified, sooo excited, sooo scared!!!! And I think this will keep going back and forth until the end of the pregnancy!
Luckily enough I am having an easy pregnancy. Not a lot of drama or weird symptoms (even though if you ask my husband he will say I’m a drama queen! So I’m a little scared, so what?)

Finding inspiration while pregnant can be really challenging! I can no longer buy the clothes that I like (bye bye high-waist skirts and pants, so long belted dresses and farewell beloved jeans). So that calls for compromise! But that doesn't mean that you can’t have (some) style!
I bought this dress from ASOS shortly after I found out I was pregnant and I went for a size 10 (instead of an 8 that is my usual size). The line was also kind of loose so when I first tried it on it looked huge. I thought I would never fill it! Guess what? The buttons are now ready to pop! SO I thought it’s now or never.
So here it is. In all it’s “glory” with my 10 additional kilos. And this is going to get worse. Still have another 3 and a half months.

Stay tuned!!
