We love crochet!

Lower that eyebrow please! And pick up the phone to call your grandma or whoever in the family can knit!! This top is so tiny that by the time you’ve read my post, it can be knitted!! Even better…make it yourself! If you do not know how to knit, well you just found yourself a hobby for the next…hmm lifetime!

We say YES to knitted and crochet tanks and tops! Why? Because they are super cute, super stylish, super summery and even though they will keep you cool, they will…turn the heat up!
How lucky am I to have a fabulous cousin who can make me whatever I think of?? She is so talented she can make almost anything! And she made this in 1 day! Insane!
Personally I prefer this natural crochet color, but you can find yarns (or ready made) in all kinds of colors.
Tonight I felt like going beige! So I combined it with my mini beige knitted skirt (this one is ready made). This outfit is very summery and playful that you can only wear it with flat shoes unless you wear the top with more formal bottoms (like high waist trousers, or midi full skirt). But if you choose to wear it with shorts or mini skirt, then go casual!

Regarding accessorizing, when I wear tops that show off a lot of skin in the shoulders, I like wearing longer earrings to “fill” the gap between my head and my shoulders. But you might as well do that with a necklace.

TIP: Why not wear it as a bikini top as well?? If you are brave enough you can wear it alone, or like in my case, you can wear it on top of a bandeau bikini bra.

Ps. By the way for the past couple of days I'm obsessed with this post's song. Just love it!

Bardot Swimsuit

Ok…this is an ode to island life! I can’t stress enough how much I adore the effortless life on islands in the summer. Who doesn’t after all? For me this is the ultimate vacation. The warm color of the sand…the rich blue of the sea and the sky…and the happy shades of your tan that makes you glow inside out! And most of all, the freedom in clothes! I mentioned it before and I will say it again! In the summer you can get away with wearing very simple and light clothes throughout the day! You can walk around in your swimsuit and your flip flops feeling free and happy

And talking about swimsuits, as if we didn’t have enough swimsuit types already!!! The off- the –shoulder- style (also known as bardot) is apparently one of the hottest trends of the season. I have to admit that I haven’t seen that many women around wearing this style, but it surely caught my eye when I saw it on the fashion sites. I find it so feminine and stylish! It’s just like a cropped top (and you know how much I love cropped tops), only in a shorter version! The good news is that with the right pair of shorts or sarong, you can wear it as a summer top too!

I got mine in black because I love black on tanned skin! Just slide the sleeves off while tanning to avoid the weird tan lines and when you are off the beach, just wrap your sarong and you are ready for you favorite walks around the island…

Good Times and Tan Lines

Hello dolls!

I hope this post finds you on a beach enjoying your vacation while looking at the endless blue of the sea! If you are still working, I’m sure you look forward to that moment when you will be actually doing that. So in the meantime let me take you there mentally and who knows…perhaps to give you some beach look ideas!
As in the last couple of years, one piece swimsuits are still in my agenda for the beach!

As someone (I guess famous) once said: “bikini is the biggest thing since the atom bomb” but hey, one piece swimsuits as just as sexy as two pieces, spread the word!!

Ok, so as I said before they might not be the ideal option for an evenly tanned body but besides the fact that they are a stylish alternative, they offer other comforts as well! Do you feel uncomfortable with your figure but you still want to sit and enjoy the beach without worrying how flat your stomach looks? Or do you feel ready to dive into the waves or play with your dogs or try water sports without the stress of loosing your bikini top?   Then you should definitely go for a one piece swimsuit! Your worries will never “look” more stylish!

And when in doubt….wear red! So go for good times and tan lines!
