The French girl

Bonjour!

Today I was thinking that some outfits look so much different if worn in the right places…like this one. It looked more…French to be worn elsewhere. Is it the French background? The French air?  I don’t know. But I know that today I wanted to wear my striped skirt and my cropped long sleeve top with my (seemingly mismatch) chunky floral heels. As you must have noticed, I love mixing different kinds of patterns. A few years ago the thought of combining stripes with floral would be a little….weird. But nowadays, mixing of patterns is a fabulous way to create more variety in your outfits, giving them an interesting depth which is essential if you want a more individualistic and personal approach to dressing!
I’m not saying you should wear whatever you have handy in your closet ending up looking like a crazy lady (even though I get many fashion ideas from them sometimes..ooops!). But with a little imagination and outside- the- box-way of thinking, you can achieve a nice result. Or at least a result that feels good for your taste!
If only I hadn’t left my black beret at home….

The green sundress

Bonjour my girlies!
I am so super excited today to be posting a blog from Paris! Well, oops...I did it again! I'm so hooked with this city that it became a ritual in my routine. How many times have I been here? Too many but never enough. Who can blame me?
Paris provides the ultimate dose in fashion so inevitably once you are here you can't help but let your inner "model" thrive! It is so inspiring after all! So many stylish ladies and gentlemen around you make it almost impossible for you to not want to participate.
However I am a firm supporter of the idea that one should dress not only to impress but to feel good, comfortable and confident! Ok, so we all want to feel extra comfy when we are on the walk all day shopping and strolling but who said we can't be a little dressed up while we do it?
That was my main idea today. I wanted to leave my tennis shoes and t-shirt at the hotel and shop the streets of Paris in more style but still keep it simple. and what's more perfect than the little sundress? Especially on a sunny day like this.
Playful country style sundresses are my thing lately. I find them super comfortable, effortlessly sexy and stylish.  I wore it with my suede-looking ankle booties for some "elevation" and my cat-eye sunglasses for that extra glamour look. Note that my boots although heeled ,are very comfortable for walking around the city. And that should be your guideline: Stylish but comfortable.

Au revoir mes amis.

Culottes and braids

Hello my girls (and boys, why not! You can keep up with our fashion too).

We’ve all loved culottes and the truth is that they have been in fashion for quite some time! But I believe that these wide-legged cropped trousers will still be a favorite piece through spring and summer!  And whether you feel like styling them with cropped tops and sandals or sweaters and sneakers for colder weather, these classy trousers will give you a wonderfully comfortable feeling!
I got this pair from Zara and I was excited with the fabric and color. Knitted beige! I knew I would be able to wear them both during fall and summer, as the light knit fabric is warm enough for those chilly fall evenings but also light enough for summer walks! So versatile!

Today I styled mine with light gray top and chunky heeled-sandals! I like adding a different style to my clothes by tying them or adding belts and other accessories that prevent me from getting bored of them. So I decided to tie a back knot and transform my regular top into a cropped one.

I also tried a different hairstyle today! The tribal messy braid. I wish my hair was thicker so that the braid would look bigger but oh well!
This summer you will see me with many big, voluminous tribal braids as I absolutely love them!
