Are you one
of those people who only wear dark colors cause it’s…errrmmm the end of Summer?
Fall? Winter? If so, there is nothing wrong with it. I used to be one of those
people too. But a few years ago I realized that it’s all a matter of mood. If
you feel like wearing a rainbow in the winter then you should definitely go for
it! As I often say, if it makes you feel good then it can’t be wrong! The same
applies for black in the summer. There are no rules! Just your mood and your
imagination.
For today’s
post I chose a bright pink pencil skirt in scuba fabric with blue linen shirt,
burgundy mules, purse and belt for a bit of a contrast. Loving it!
Well, it’s
September. We live in Cyprus. It is still hot as hell. As far as I am
concerned, it is definitely still summer. Don’t rush to put your summer clothes
away! Not just yet!
I got this
long sleeve shirt-like dress from H&M. Didn’t get to wear it yet though
because of the long sleeve. Although it is a “summer dress”, you have to wait a
bit for the right weather to wear it. And that time for me is September. Still
hot during the day but a bit cooler during the evening. Perfect excuse for a
longer sleeve. Still cool fabric, still short, still white (and still tanned,
that’s kind of a must for white)! Do you know what I mean?
Once more,
this blog is not about the “latest” pieces but more of “how to wear pieces that
you might already have in your closet and how to invest in clothes that you
will be able to wear a lot. I am also a firm supporter of the idea that we
should be buying clothes that are easy to mix and match and easy to wear. Of
course I have extravagant pieces that I fell in love with and had to have them
and probably wore once, but this is not my philosophy in general.
Match your
white dress with a bright shoe (or with a nude one). Accessorize in gold-ish
tones and enjoy the rest of the summer!
Don’t you
just love it when you are in a shop, there are sales and you find the last
piece of a dress you love and it is your size?? Oh boy! How I love those
moments. I loved it instantly. And the color happens to be one of my favorites.
The sand color. I just love it!! Along with all earth tones. It might sound
weird but a good tan brings out the color more, even if the color itself is
well…tan-ish. The contrast between your tan and earthy tones creates an exotic
result! I haven’t really worked on my tan this summer (see: baby) but I am
still hoping!! Summer is still young (unlike me J ).
