Leggings and heels

Hello sugars!

First of all let me just say “Xristos Anesti” (for my foreigner friends: “Jesus has risen”)! I hope you all had a great Easter full of joy, family moments, smells and food! Ohhh I surely did! Especially the food part…. Maybe not the traditional Greek “Easter food” since I found myself in Paris this Easter, but I surely had a few croissants and pain du chocolat! Because when in Paris…..stuff yourself with French sweets till you drop dead! Voila!!

Thank God I could still fit into my leggings! Which by the way are they becoming the new pants? Well maybe not all kinds but a few of them have surely crossed the work-out attire boundary and made it right onto the streets!

There are so many styles and patterns and fabrics that it’s hard to resist wearing them as pants! The kind I prefer is the sporty one with the tight and slightly thick fabric that flatters your figure. I also prefer the ones that have color blocks instead of the really colorful ones.
I love the contrast of the sporty look of the outfit in combination with heels. And unless you are into the “Kim Kardashian big butt” kind of style, I suggest you wear it with a longer top and preferably as simple as possible. Keep it simple and think a little “ghetto-glam”.
Today I wore a color blocked pair I got from H&M, with a long t-shirt (with side splits) and neutral colored heels. I added my leather waist purse as a belt to give the outfit a little more shape.

And off to the Jardin des Tuliers!

Au revoir mes amis!

Fray hem jeans

 Hello butterflies!

Is summer approaching fast or is it just me? See, this is the thing with Cyprus weather…You go to bed on a winter night and you wake up to a summer day! The transition is kind of sudden and often finds us a little unprepared. We suddenly throw away our jacket and we put on our swimsuit. And usually we have to go back a forth a couple of times before we stick to a season for good. Scottish shower! And of course we end up with the perfect flu (and everything that comes with it-sneezing-coughing- fever blah blah….).
Well this is one of those days. I left the house wearing my jeans and short sleeve t-shirt. By lunchtime I wore my leather mid-sleeve, cropped jacket and by dinner time I was….sick!
And speaking of jeans, the catwalks bring us new ways of wearing them every season. This season I spotted around the frayed hem jeans. I was skeptical about buying them because the 5/6 length is not the most flattering for those who are vertically ….challenged. I’m no midget or something, but I’m not 1.80 either! I knew I liked the trend but I also knew I would probably want to wear them with heels. So I did! The other option would be flat sandals but not just yet… However if you are 1.80 tall you can wear them with sneakers as well. Even though I see many shorter women wearing this length with sneakers, personally it’s not my best!

So find your style and adapt the trend!

P.S Excuse the poor quality of the photos-new lenses needed.

Oversized shirt

Repeat after me: “Sun is life, sun is life, sun is life”!!!  I can’t stress enough how much I need sun in my life (who doesn’t?). When the sun is out I’m a happy happy girl! Most of my clothes are made for days with sunshine so given the chance I’ll put them on and run out!

OK, so it might not be summer YET, but for me, any sunny day is a good excuse to start taking out my lighter clothes. I don’t care if it gets cloudy again, this time I refuse to put them back!!!

So, now that my “sunshine” delirium is over, let me just tell you about the over sized shirt. And I mean over sized!! It’s one of my favorite pieces of the summer to come! I find it sexy, stylish and easy to wear. You can wear it unbuttoned with a tank top, deep opened with high-waisted skirts/trousers, buttoned all the way for a smarter look, you can combine it with shorts, jeans, skirts or even as dresses if they are long enough!

For today I chose to wear it deep opened with a high waist deconstructed denim skirt and the all time classic fishnets.

And remember, if you don’t have one, the best over sized shirts can be found in your boyfriend’s /husband’s /brother’s /dad’s closet! So don’t be shy to pay them a visit.
